The Multinester Nest Box gives garden birds a safe, sheltered spot to nest in spring, and doubles as a roosting spot for small birds seeking shelter over winter. Designed to suit a range of small garden species, it's a simple way to support birds beyond just feeding them, and a nice complement to a well-stocked feeding station.

How long will this bag last?
An estimate. Gardens vary with the season, the weather and how many feeders you keep going.
How we work this out
We allow about 6g of food a bird a day. Small garden birds take in roughly 3–7g a day in total, and a feeder supplies only part of that — the rest is insects, berries and whatever is growing nearby.
The bird numbers come from the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch. In January 2026, 9.4 million birds were counted across more than 650,000 gardens, an average of about 15 birds in a garden at any one time. We treat the birds you would see at once as the regulars using your feeders through the day. That is an assumption on our part, not a figure the survey provides. We are not connected with the RSPB.
A January count sits at the busy end of the year, so expect a bag to go further once natural food returns in summer. Squirrels and pigeons will empty a feeder far faster than any of this allows for.
