Description
Whole peanuts are one of the most reliable ways to bring tits, greenfinches, nuthatches and woodpeckers into the garden. Rich in fat and protein, they're a genuine energy boost for visiting birds, particularly through the colder months when natural food is scarce. Serve them in a mesh peanut feeder rather than loose on a bird table, both to stop birds taking pieces too large to swallow safely and to keep the peanuts fresh and dry.
Stepping up to 12.75kg works out better value per kilo and means fewer trips to restock during the busiest feeding months.
